Bucks County Citizen Forum: Voices and Vision for Public Education in Pennsylvania
Monday, November 23 Bucks County Community College, Newtown PA Gateway Auditorium, 6:30-9pm
The goal of this deliberative forum is to work with diverse groups of citizens to identify what education issues they think are most important for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to address in the coming months and years. Diversity of perspectives is important to this work and we seek and value everyone’s input.

The dialogue will be led by the Penn Project for Civic Engagement and Education Voters Institute. We’ll start in a large group setting and quickly move into small breakout work groups. Trained moderators will work with small groups to identify the education issues you think are most important and why. We’ll conclude with a closing session where we look for similarities and differences across groups.
We hope to use this evening as a springboard for a continuing public dialogue across the Commonwealth to develop a citizen’s guide to education issues in Pennsylvania. Our objective is to focus the education debate on issues that citizens think our current elected leaders, the gubernatorial candidates and the next governor should tackle both in the short-term and the long-term.
